"The Following" posted a video on their Facebook page on Jan. 20 that reveals the character of Claire Matthews and the love/hate triangle that involves the ex-wife of a serial killer and Detective Ryan Hardy.
Natalie Zea, who has been cast as Claire Matthews, says she defines the relationship between Joe Carroll, Ryan Hardy and her character as a love/hate triangle. One of "The Following" spoilers that has been revealed is that Ryan Hardy, who is played by Kevin Bacon, is visiting the serial killer in prison and Joe Carroll tells the detective,
"You slept with my wife."
It seems that serial killers like Joe Carroll do not understand that a divorce means the marraige is over.
Another one of "The Following" spoilers that the video revealed is that Kevin Bacon slept with the serial killer's wife when the two were still married. That obviously explains the hate that Natalie Zea spoke about.
They are hoping viewers will want Ryan Hardy and Claire Matthews to get together, but at the same time it is going to be an impossible love.
