Are you ready for "The Flash" to premiere in the fall? Well, here's another video interview from San Diego Comic-Con to get you even more excited, as on Tuesday, Aug. 5, we uploaded our roundtable with Danielle Panabaker, who plays Caitlin Snow on the "Arrow" spin-off.
Check out the video interview above or here. Plus, keep reading for the highlights from Panabaker as she talks about the fan reaction to the pilot, her thoughts on Caitlin, the upcoming crossovers and more.
"It's so cool. That's what's great about Twitter," the actress said of being able to get fans' reactions immediately after watching the pilot screening at Comic-Con. "People could write instantly about the pilot and what they'd seen and said really nice things, which is great." Speaking of the fans, she loves that there's already a fan base excited about the show. "It's also really cool for me. I love my character. I love Caitlin. I love how smart she is and how passionate and committed she is, so it's such a treat."
How close to comics is her character staying to the comics? "When Greg and Andrew and Geoff were picking a female, they picked Killer Frost on purpose because they wanted to have a scientist and someone who was smart, but I think beyond that, they are doing their own show," she explained. "They're making their own choices. I don't know if they're following it to the letter." Still, she is looking forward to getting superpowers, but knows there's time to get to that. "I think it'll be great to tell Caitlin's story and to see what happens with S.T.A.R. Labs and to see what happens with Caitlin and Barry and see where their relationship goes, so I'm not in any huge rush."
As for the upcoming "Arrow" crossovers, Panabaker teased, "I know that Felicity is coming to 'Flash' very soon, which is awesome. We just got that script, and it's so cool. I love the Felicity character, also in comparison to the Caitlin character. It's nice to have these women – behind every great man there is a great woman. It's very cool to see them. I'm also really excited to see what happens in 8. They just keep teasing us with storylines. Can you imagine Felicity defending Arrow and Caitlin defending Barry and who's better, who's faster, who's etc.? It's going to be cool. I haven't seen it yet."
