After briefly teasing the upcoming Plastic Texture Pack for Minecraft: Xbox 360 Edition earlier this week, fans of the popular creation game were given their first in-depth look at the first standalone texture pack thanks to a post found on the official Xbox Live Arcade website on Friday.
While gamers received a texture pack as part of the recent Mass Effect themed mash-up pack, the Plastic Texture Pack will be the first texture add-on that will be offered on its own. The texture pack will alter the visual appearance of everything in the game, from the look of the game’s environments to the textures of the world’s mobs and creatures.
Developer 4J Studios has yet to reveal the cost of standalone texture packs within Minecraft: Xbox 360 Edition, but has confirmed that they will indeed require a nominal fee. However, fans will be able to download a trial version of each texture pack to allow them to test them out before purchase. No release date has currently been set for the Plastic Texture Pack.
