The First Lady is not impressed

All political agendas, bickering, and disagreements aside, the 57th Presidential Inauguration Ceremony and festivities are a time of true democracy and diplomacy displayed across the aisle-well, maybe not completely.

After the ceremonies witnessed by hundreds of thousands concluded with the singing of the national anthem by Beyonce and President Obama’s Inaugural address, he was escorted to Statuary Hall in the U.S. Capitol for the traditional Inaugural luncheon, hosted by the Joint Congressional Committee on Inaugural Ceremonies (JCCIC).

Spirits seemed high and smiles, kisses, and hugs were exchanged as attendees noshed on a first course of steamed lobster with New England Clam Chowder Sauce, sautéed spinach, and sweet potato hay; a second course of hickory-grilled bison with red potato horseradish cake and wild huckleberry reduction, butternut squash purée, baby golden beets and green beans, strawberry preserve and red cabbage; and a third course of Hudson Valley Apple Pie with sour cream ice cream, aged cheese and honey maple caramel sauce, and Artisan Cheeses.

During the dinner as President Obama and Speaker of the House, John Boehner exchanged words, First Lady Michelle Obama rolled her eyes in disdain. It makes you wonder what Mr. Boehner said to aggravate the FLOTUS. Maybe he said he liked her hair better without bangs…hmmm….Whatever it was, like McKayla Maroney, Mrs. Obama was not impressed.
