Just in time for the San Diego Comic-Con, the inaugural Gam3rCon gaming event is set to open its doors to the public July 21-25 a few blocks away from the San Diego Convention Center. As "San Diego's first ever convention for gamers, by gamers", Gam3rCon is offering gamers and Comic-Con attendees a variety of gaming related attractions and a stop for some food and drink. Some of the featured attractions include:
- GAM3RS /the play - Created by Brian Bielawski and Walter G. Meyer, this one man comedy play about the computer-gaming geek culture will have multiple scheduled performances between Wednesday the 21st and Sunday the 25th. For ticket information and times please click here.
- Visit with Tommy Tallarico, co-founder of Video Games Live and prolific video game composer, on Friday the 23rd from 10:00pm to 11:00pm.
- President's Day - Only two screenings, Thursday, July 22 at 7:20pm, and Friday, July 23 at 7:20pm, for this indie slasher film.
- Outbreak: Undead - Play against the creators of this zombie survival role-playing game all day Saturday and Sunday.
- Complimentary cocktails provided by El Dorado Bar.
- Donovan and the Vast Ancient Conspiracy - Attend a screening of the first two episodes of this new series on Saturday at 4:00pm.
- Pocket Zombie - Purchase Pocket Zombie (for iphone, ipod, and ipad) at Gam3rCon for only 99 cents.
