As the final hours of 2012 tick away, what will you remember most about this year? Will this year have a special place in your mind as proving yet another end of the world prophecy wrong; a year to count your blessings and be thankful your son or daughter made it home to you every day; a year where politics let you down/did right by the people?
No matter what the year means to you, be safe and make sure you get to see 2013. If you plan on going out to celebrate, please be sure to have a designated driver. AAA does not provide "Tipsy Tow" for our area. MADD has put together a list of things to do to get home safe:
- Designate a sober driver to make sure you—and everyone with you—arrive home safely this holiday season.
- Save the number of a local cab service in your phone prior to heading out.
- Consider hiring a shuttle or limousine service to transport you and your friends to and from your event.
- Arrange a hotel stay for you and your friends on the evening of the event so no one drives home impaired.
Have a safe night, and be sure to take the proper precautions to make sure you and those around you get home safe.
