The Filling Station

The Filling Station, Kansas City’s only coffee garage, is the perfect pit stop for coffee and a quick bite on your way to work downtown. This stylish restaurant’s breakfast menu includes various types of bagels, muffins, croissants, and coffee. Specials for coffee, baked goods, and quiche are available daily.

And yes, it really does look like a garage. The floor is a cement slab, the walls are brick, chairs are wooden, and tables have a metal top. This may not sound attractive, but it is actually a very comfortable and relaxing place. During nice weather, one side of the Filling Station opens up like a garage, extending the seating area to outside.

Next time you need to fuel up in the morning, try the Filling Station at 2980 McGee Trafficway. It is open for service Monday through Friday 6:30 am to 6 pm, and weekends from 7 am to 6pm.
