When you go out, you generally have to carry you wallet, keys and phone. By the time your done you have might have one pocket empty. Not only is this uncomfortable but it’s inconvenient and leaves you vulnerable to loss or theft of your wallet or keys.
Thankfully there a couple of technologies that could make this a thing of the past. With QR, your phone scans what looks like a space-age barcode to take you to a website or possibly process a transaction. NFC on the other hand communicates wirelessly with other devices to process payments, transfer data or for keyless entry of homes or cars. Several major companies, including Google and Paypal have already released apps to process mobile payments, with Google heavily invested in NFC.
