After such an exciting and unforgettable weekend at the Stellar Awards, Bishop Fritz Cobbs, the father of Gospel singer Tasha Cobbs transitioned to Glory.
Tasha Cobbs is the daughter of Bishop Fritz and Lady Bertha Cobbs. She has been singing Gospel music for many years and has brought us projects with such songs as "Smile", "You Make Me Happy", and the stirring anthem, "Break Every Chain". We have come to embrace and love this woman who sings from her soul and ministers all across the country. Her voice serves to declare the praises of God and it ushers us into a place of worship.
Tasha attended the 29th Stellar Awards in Nashville, Tenn. and not only performed, but won three awards including Contemporary Female Vocalist of the Year. Her dynamic album, "Grace" has been heard in homes, cars, and over radio apps pumping out the praises.
It is confirmed that Bishop Fritz Cobbs did indeed pass away early this past Sunday morning. He had just witnessed the recognition and success of his baby girl. His voice can be heard introducing her on "I Trust You". He was a proud father as he watched God elevate Tasha and use her to be a blessing to His people and the Body of Christ at large.
Our prayers are with her, the family, the extended family and friends, and the congregation of Jesup New Life Ministries in Jesup, Georgia. The love and support from many Gospel artists and others are being expressed. We know that earth has no sorrow that Heaven cannot heal.
