Imagine the looks of awe on the faces of the children as they watch colorful Easter eggs fall from the sky. Now you can be a part of this unique celebration of Easter on Saturday, April 26 at the Farm at Walnut Creek's annual Easter Adventure Egg Drop event located in Sugarcreek, Ohio in the heart of Ohio's Amish country.

Easter Adventure Egg Drop Thousands of eggs will be dropped and scattered on The Farm at Walnut Creek property as the children scramble and race to collect the eggs for prizes.

Other activities at this event include taking a swing at a pinata, spending time in a giant corn box and taking part in a coloring contest, There will also be plenty of photo opportunities as the children get to hold and pose with some of the Farm's rabbits.

Helicopter drop times vary each year so be sure to call ahead to find out what this year's specific drop times will be.

A Bit About The Farm at Walnut Creek In operation since 2007, The Farm at Walnut Creek is home to more than 500 domestic and exotic animals from 6 different continents, most of which roam freely throughout the park.

Among some of the animals to be found at The Farm at Walnut Creek are giraffes, zebras, llamas, kangaroos, deer, elk, sheep, goats, tortoises, pigs, camels, Percheron draft horses, donkeys, buffalo, exotic birds and six different types of cattle including Scotch Highland cattle.

Visitors have the opportunity to hand feed the animals (from food buckets) either from their own car or from a horse-drawn wagon ride around the park ( a 2.3 mile drive). Be sure to also check out the Petting Area where some of the smaller animals can be found. Cameras are welcomes and encouraged.

A day at The Farm at Walnut Creek also means that visitors get to experience a day on a real working Amish farm where (depending on the season) they can observe activities like plowing, sowing seeds, thrashing, milking, growing produce and baking.

Hours for The Farm at Walnut Creek are 8:30 a.m. - one hour before sunset, Monday - Saturday. The Farm is closed on Sundays.

General admission is $11.75 for adults and $8.75 for seniors and children (2-12). Admission with the wagon ride is $16.75 for adults and $11.75 for seniors and children.
