The Expendables is an upcoming 2010 ensemble action film written and directed by Sylvester Stallone.

While on set Sylvester Stallone was injured - broken neck.  At least different sources say "broken."

A broken neck can be fatal, but obviously, in this case, it was not so, or Mr. Stalone would not have survived such an accident.  The seriousness of his wound is not yet available.  But he was hurt enough to leave the set, most likely for medical treatment.

Filming of The Expendables began on March 28, 2009 in Rio de Janeiro, New Orleans, and Los Angeles and is expected to be released on August 20, 2010.

The film pays tribute to the blockbuster action films of the 1980s and early '90s, as the film includes action veterans from those decades, such as Stallone himself, Dolph Lundgren, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Jason Statham, Jet Li, and Bruce Willis

With such an all star ACTION cast this film should be quite popluar with those who love an action genre or admire the acting of one or more of the huge cast.

Brittany Murphy, a young actress, 32, who died in December 2009, and laid to rest Christmas Eve, was a cast member of The Expendables as well.

Stallone fans keep an eye out for his return to shooting this latest project, and of course to good health!

Yes, hopefully his neck injury is not too bad. Although caution to still be made. True, not sure one can survive a true break! Although death would be sudden, and we'd have heard if that happened by now - THANK GOODNESS WE HAVEN'T!!!!

    I look for updates, thanks.
