What is the significance of your name?
A lot of people just call me Papo and some just call me Buggs. The name Papo has been stuck with me all of my life; that name came from my grandmother. She started calling me that right after her husband, who was my grandfather, passed away. So I took it and ran with it. I even made it an acronym which stands for the “Push And Persistence Overall”. I took the name Buggs from a well respected person in my neighborhood. He used to look out for me since I was a little kid. But unfortunately he’s not with us right now. R.I.P. big homie! So that is how I formed the name Buggs Papo but most people call me P.A.P.O. and that’s what I’m running with

Who is your target market?
My target market is anyone from the ages 18 to 45. I like to think that my music reaches different audiences everyday. I like to address different issues that we've all faced at least once in our life time.

What is your USP? (Unique Selling Proposition) and what sets you apart from other Hip Hop artists?
As an artist I create a wide range of music that can be played in the clubs, in your cars or in the streets. The main thing that sets me apart from other artists is my work ethic. I’m never satisfied. I’m always in the studio creating new music.

What single or project are you currently pushing?
The single that I’m pushing right now is a song called ‘Hustle Girls”. This song represents the ladies in a good way. I feel like any girl who works hard for hers will love this song. Hustle girls is off of my upcoming EP “P.A.PO.,” which will be dropping soon.

What is the philosophy by which you live by?
My number one philosophy in life is that if you want something don’t just wait for it to come to you. You have to go out there and grab it. There are so many talented individuals out there that won’t make it anywhere because they’re just lazy.

Which artists have inspired you?
I grew up listening to The Notorious BIG, JayZ ,2pac, Nas, Snoop Dogg and Dr.Dre. During my high school years The Lox was my favorite group. Now these days artists like Eminem, Drake, Kendrick Lamar and 50 cent inspire me to keep going.

Who does your production?
Besides writing I also produce my own tracks but lately I wanted to try something new so I connected with Hassan Shareef. I just completed two projects with him that I happen to be very proud of. So stay tuned

What is your opinion of the current state of the music industry?
The music industry is unpredictable. Just when you think it’s one way it changes within a blink of an eye. With that being said I like where the industry is at right now.

If you can change one thing about the music industry what would it be and why?
One thing I would change about the industry would be the 360 deals that are given out to new artists these days. It’s definitely modern day slavery.

Are there any singers that you would like to collaborate with in the future?
In the future I wouldn't mind collaborating with Seven Streeter, Chris Brown, or School Boy Q.

What is your favorite movie and favorite book?
As of right now my favorite movie is "Wolf on Wall Street" and my favorite book has always been "Death of a Salesman."

Any final words for the people.
