The Epcot International Flower & Garden Festival is underway

The 20th Annual Epcot International Flower & Garden Festival began on March 6, 2013, and will run through May 19. This year it is bigger and better than ever. There are additions for the 20th anniversary. The topiaries, concerts and seminars are back and there are changes to make it the best festival yet.

The largest addition is known as Garden Marketplaces at World Showcase. There are several food and drink kiosks that are not normally available. Guests can enjoy Dole Whip with Spice Rum or Zellwood Corn. There are 11 kiosks that are set up just for the festival.

The popular topiaries are back, there are over 75 this year. The new topiaries for 2013 include designs based on Monsters University, Cars and Phineas and Ferb. Some of the topiaries and gardens light up at night, giving guests an extra treat. There is also a garden and play area this year that is based on the movie Oz the Great and Powerful.

The HGTV Designers Stage and the Flower Power Concert Series have returned for 2013. Check the Walt Disney World website for the latest information.
