The entire beer list for the Fall FestivALE on November 11th has been released

Last week I posted the list of beers that the Alabama breweries will be pouring at the Fall FestivALE on November 11th at Old Car Heaven in Birmingham.  I promised I would update you as soon as I had the information on the other participating breweries, and here we are.

The full list of non-Alabama breweries is below with descriptions from either the website of the brewery or from label information.  You can see the beer list for the Alabama breweries by clicking here.

There are still tickets available for the Fall FestivALE on Friday.  Since this event has such an impressive list of breweries and beer, this event will sell out.  If you want to be one of the 850 people in attendance, you can click here to arrange tickets before they are all gone. Prost!

Non-Alabama Breweries beer list for the Fall FestivALE:

Avery Brewing Company

  • The Czar Russian Imperial Stout(2010 vintage):  Behold the stunning crimson hues through the inky blackness. Inhale the noble Hallertau hops, spicy and floral. Savor the flavors redolent of English toffee, rich mocha, sweet molasses, candied currants and a hint of anise. We highly recommend cellaring additional bottles, as the Czar will continue to mature and become denser and more complex with age.
  • Eighteen, Dry Hopped Rye Saison:   For this year’s celebratory brew, we decided to focus on the characteristics that certain yeasts bring to the party. Each of the five Belgian yeasts selected adds its own unique aspect to the flavor and aroma of this saison.  The hefty addition of rye helps dry this beauty out and lends another spicy component to the flavor.  And for added fun, we dry-hopped it, too!  Take your time and smell and taste the complexities that Eighteen has to offer.
  • India Pale Ale: In the 1700s one crafty brewer discovered that a healthy dose of hops and an increased alcohol content preserved his ales during the long voyage to India (as depicted in our label) to quench the thirst of British troops. Today, we tip our hat to that historic innovation by brewing Colorado's hoppiest pale ale. Avery IPA demands to be poured into your favorite glass to truly appreciate the citrusy, floral bouquet and the rich, malty finish.
  • Rumpkin:  Ale brewed with pumpkin and spices, aged in rum barrels.

Founders Brewing Company

  • Centennial IPA:   Get ready to bask in the glory of the frothy head's floral bouquet. Relish the citrus accents from the abundance of dry-hopping. This one's sweet, yet balanced. Malty undertones shake hands with the hop character for a finish that never turns too bitter.
  • Dirty Bastard Scotch Style Ale:  So good it's almost wrong. Dark ruby in color and brewed with seven varieties of imported malts. Complex in finish, with hints of smoke and peat, paired with a malty richness and a right hook of hop power to give it the bad attitude that a beer named Dirty Bastard has to live up to. Ain't for the wee lads.
  • Red’s Rye Pale Ale:  Serious hop bitterness, along with an unyielding grapefruit bouquet from the Amarillo dry-hop, balances the malty richness of four varieties of imported Belgian caramel malts. Pours a spectacular crimson with a creamy tan head. A generous addition of rye malt accentuates a spicy, crisp finish.

Highland Brewing Company

  • Cocoa Wheat:  Could not locate a commercial description but I am going to go out out on a limb and say it is probably a Wheat Ale made with cocoa.
  • Kashmir IPA:  A brilliant, dry pale ale with an aggressive hop character balanced with a smooth finish. A bold beer best consumed with a stiff upper lip.
  • Oatmeal Porter:  A unique Highland creation, this robust beer is black in color, very malty with hints of chocolate-roasted flavor and a well balanced hop character.

Lazy Magnolia Brewing Company

  • Ginger Jaque:  Ginger Jaque, the second release in Lazy Magnolia's Brewer's Choice Series, invokes the likeness of one of our premier international award winning amber rye ales (AmberJaque) spiced with a bold zest of ginger. Brewed with carefully selected rye grains, traditional malts and hops, drinkers experience a heavy aroma of sweet ginger on the nose accompanied by a dry rye finish. If you should find yourself amongst friends one chilly winters eve, this brew will undoubtedly prove a warm and inspiring companion.
  • Southern Pecan:  Southern Pecan Nut Brown Ale is the first beer in the world, to our knowledge, made with whole roasted pecans. The pecans are used just like grain and provide a nutty characteristic and a delightful depth to the flavor profile. This beer is very lightly hopped to allow the malty, caramel, and nutty flavors shine through. The color is dark mahogany. Southern Pecan won a Bronze Medal in the 2006 World Beer Cup in the Specialty Beer category

New Orleans Lager & Ale Company (NOLA)

  • Hopitoulas IPA:  Hopitoulas was the third addition to our year-round beer portfolio.  This 6.0%ABV ale is a West Coast style India Pale Ale that combines 6 malts and 6 hops with additional dry hopping for three weeks. It takes about a month and a half to make each batch and we think it is worth the wait.  Hints of pine and citrus with a powerful, yet balanced hoppy flavor, Hopitoulas packs a punch that you won’t forget.  Available on draft in in draft packs at many locations serving NOLA.
  • 7th Street Wheat:  “7th Street Wheat” started out as our Summer seasonal, but cue to its popularity has made its own place in our year round ales.  Named in honor of the 7th Street wharf across the street from the brewery, this filtered wheat ale is light-bodied American style with pounds of fresh lemon-basil added after fermentation.  The light citrus taste with a hint of spicy herb on the back goes well with almost any seafood dish, and from what we hear, is a favorite at bars as a stand alone refreshing beer.

SweetWater Brewing Company

  • Dank Tank Ghoulash:  Double Black, Double Dry Hopped, Double India Pale Ale.  One of SweetWater’s limited release offerings from the Dank Tank made with 3 malts and 14 different hops.
  • Festive Ale:  Winter Coat Season – a strong ale brewed with generous amounts of rich malt, coupled with a taint of cinnamon and mace to keep you warm and toasted all winter long. We double dog dare you
  • 420 Extra Pale Ale:  Our most popular beer. 420 Extra Pale Ale is a tasty West Coast Style Pale Ale with a good hop feel to it and a crisp finish. First brewed on April 20th, 1997 this beer has developed quite the following in the Southeast. Drink em if you got em

Terrapin Beer Company

  • Hopsecutioner:  This Killer IPA earns its name by using six different types of hops while still remaining an aggressive well balanced beer.
  • Monk’s Revenge:  Step back in time for this holier-than-thou union of two great brewing traditions that are worlds apart. Kudos to Friar Spike and Little John for marrying a classic Belgian Style Tripel and a new age American Double IPA.
  • So Fresh and So Green, Green:  This is a beer that celebrates the hop! You can’t get fresher or greener than this. Made with freshly picked, whole leaf, “wet hops” these off the vine beauties will encourage you to DRINK FRESH, DRINK LOCAL, DRINK NOW!
  • Wake ‘N’ Bake:  Black as night, this coffee stout is thick, rich and full of real coffee flavor. Brewed with the Terrapin Wake-n-Bake coffee blend created by Terrapin & Jittery Joe’s Coffee.

Thomas Creek Brewery

  • Banana Split Chocolate Stout:  Forgive us, our transgressions.  Banana split chocolate stout has  flavor so rich you will feel like you have just saddled up to the counter at an ice cream parlor.  This dark chocolaty libation boasts caramel, toffee, and roasted malt flavors.   It is crisp and smooth, allowing distinct banana overtones to satiate your daily dose of sinful indulgence.
  • Dirty Monk Belgian Porter: With a taste profile somewhere between a Belgian black ale and IPA, some might say that this porter is confused. However, we prefer to let this robust Belgian’s smoky tones and slightly bitter finish speak for itself. Brewed with authentic Trappist yeast, this porter is sure to delight with its unique flavors.
  • Octoberfest:  Could not locate a commercial description but expect an easy drinking Marzen style lager.

Yazoo Brewing Company

  • Sue:  The south is famous for smoking everything. Why not beer? Sue is a big, rich, smoky malt bomb of a beer, with mellow smokiness coming from barley malts smoked with cherry wood, and assertive bitterness from Galena and Perle hops to cleanse the finish.
  • Undisclosed, super secret beer
