Cleveland OH - The historic Beachland Ballroom on Waterloo Rd hosted an almost capacity crowd last night . The legendary English Beat , the forefathers of ska music lifted the roof off of the place . The crowd ranged from under eighteen to senior citizens and all of them rocked out . Its no wonder that on a Wednesday day night this band was able to draw such large numbers. The history and the hits . Imagine the distance from Birmingham UK all the way to Cleveland Ohio on a road filled with musical notes . This was my first time seeing them and I was curious as how they would perform live . I have heard founder Dave Wakeling's music on various soundtracks over the years and I was interested to see this seasoned performer . Well they did not disappoint . The crowd sang along with the band who were all top notch artist in their own right . The band consists of Dave Wakeling - lead vocals, guitar ,Rhythmm Epkins - drums, vocals Antonee First Class - toaster , Matt Morrish - saxophone, vocals Kevin Lum - keyboards, vocals , Roger Bueno - bass, vocals ( Source Wiki )With songs consisting of "Rough Rider ,Hands Off...She's Mine ,Twist and Crawl, I Confess ,Click Click ,Save It for Later ,Can't Get Used to Losing You ,Never You Done That ,Tenderness, Ranking Full Stop” and others a fun time was had by all . The opening band was the reggae sounds of Outlaws I and I and they proved a formidable punch as well .
