Today, on Feb. 26, 2013, marks the final installment of the "Skyrim" DLC packages to be released for the PS3, as reported by Gamenguide. After about a year of patience, PS3 owners can finally experience all that the world of "Skyrim" has to offer with the new add-on, "Dawnguard." As before with the previous releases of "Dragonborn" and "Hearthfire," the add-on allows gamers to delve deeper into the world of "Skyrim," offering a wealth of quests to tackle and new items and abilities to improve the player's character.
Our journey with "Dawnguard" takes a rather interesting turn revolving around a dark prophecy that foretells a magic ritual to block out the sun's light, leaving the world in everlasting darkness. The vampires of "Skyrim" have emerged to take advantage of performing this ritual and it's up to the player to either assist or thwart their scheme. This new "Skyrim" adventure takes about 10-20 hours to complete with plenty of added sidequests and even two new skill trees, "Vampire Lord" and "Werewolf."
"Dawnguard" is expected to be available for download later today on the "PlayStation Network" and will be available for half-off the original price for the first week only. It will also be released for European players starting tomorrow.
