The Eco Oscars Celebrate Oscar Nominees and James Bond (Photos)

The Oscars (http://oscar.go.com/) bring filmmakers from around the world to Hollywood for one spectacular weekend. In honor of the Academy Awards both nominees and celebrities attend parties and events to celebrate the biggest awards ceremony of the season.

One of the hottest parties in town was the 2013 Eco Oscars. Located at a beautiful mansion in Beverly Hills the nominees and celebrities were treated to amazing live music, wonderful food, signature cocktails and gifts, all to help benefit With Our Words, Inc. a youth development nonprofit organization and Beat Liver Tumors Foundation.

Without Words, Inc.’s Green Celebrity Writing Prompts Project hopes to inspire literacy and artistry to raise awareness about ecology. At risk students from Stockton, California transform eco-themed ideas from stars in the entertainment industry into original performance poetry. The Beat Liver Tumors Foundation provides information and hope for those affected by liver tumors.

The theme of the event was James Bond. As Ian Fleming wrote all fourteen Bond novels in Jamaica, The Jamaican Tourist Board (www.visitjamaica.com), proudly promoted their wonderful culture and vacation destinations.

The Eco Oscars were filled with Academy Award Nominees including, Reginald Hudlin (producer of Best Picture nominee Django), Sam Fell and Chris Butler (Best Animated Film - ParaNorman), Malik Bendjelloul (winner of Best Documentary Searching For Sugar Man), Seamus McGarvey (Cinematography – Anna Karenina), as well as cast and crew from the Oscar nominated films Lincoln and Curfew.
