eBay has created a box with our planet in mind. Designed to require minimal packaging tape, the goal is a five time reuse minimum for each package. According to eBay, if a total of 100,000 boxes are distributed and each box is reshipped five times, "the program could protect nearly 4,000 trees and save 2.4 million gallons of water, and conserve enough electricity to power 49 homes for a year."
The box is 100% recyclable and printed with water-based ink. Each box has a special touch: comment boxes printed for each user to pass along a note. It also includes fun graphics, sales recommendations and energy saving tips.
