The fourth in the series of articles that dealt with the elements is dedicated to Earth. The Sun signs Taurus, Virgo, and Capricorn are associated with this element, which also rules the Second, Sixth, and Seventh Houses. In trying to describe this element, we can use any idiom or phrase that implies some sort of earth reference: firmly grounded, down to Earth, salt of the Earth, and so on. Earth people are grounded, practical, and dependable. They always prefer the safe way to taking any risks.
Just like earth, or clay, is used in constructions, Earth signs can be considered the builders of the zodiac. Those graced by the element of Earth find great pleasure in creating something tangible. Ranging from building a career or a home to making the rooms within that home comfortable and pleasant, from buying things to putting together their own, Earth people focus on everything that is solid around us. The fact that they feel secure and happy only after having accumulated a considerable amount of material possessions has its own risks: these persons may be eventually overcome by greed and materialism.
On the bright side of things, those born under the Earth element are highly responsible and reliable, and they have a strong sense of duty. If you ever find yourself in a difficult situation, you can always count on an Earth person for help and support. These individuals are also quite cautious and conservative by nature. However, this doesn’t stop them from being sensualists, fully appreciating a fine meal and a high-quality wine.
Earth Sun signs are blessed with a logical mind, something they’re always appreciated for by those surrounding them. Nothing can break an Earth person – they can easily recuperate from any dangerous, heartbreaking or stressful experience. In dedicating their 100% to achieving their goals, those graced by the element of Earth tend to overlook other persons’ feelings. It is safe to say that they fixate too much on the end result, on the finish line, and thereby they don’t get to fully enjoy the journey.
