In a country that more and more resembles a group of low information zombies; the Republican vote in the House yesterday (Saturday) to delay Obamacare one year for average citizens is a great example.
Largely due to the mainstream media’s love affair with the liberal president, the major list of negatives concerning the enactment of this badly flawed law have gone virtually unchallenged in the media. Hardly a mention of why that might be a great idea considering the employer mandate has already been granted a year extension for the authors of the law to organize its enactment and avoid national chaos.
Why not average Americans? Why is it so important to rush forward no matter what? Isn’t the idea of saving 85 percent of Americans that will not be the target of the law better than 15 percent that have no health insurance anyway and still utilize the emergency room?
Think about it, one-sixth of the economy is dedicated to the healthcare industry. With the amount of disorganized chaos that is readily admitted by the bill’s leading author, retiring (I wonder why) Senator Max Baucas, a Democrat from conservative Montana calls the law “a train wreck.”
What really is the hurry?
The hurry derives from a failed presidency and the Obama’s deep concern for his legacy along with the worshiping media. Aside from this signature legislation that didn’t receive one Republican vote, was passed after extreme strong-arming from the Majority House Leader Nancy (“We must pass the bill to see what’s in it”) Nancy Pelosi and a then-organized rubber-stamp approval that has all but disappeared since then, the law is an unadulterated mess.
Yet Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid trudges on ignoring all the danger signs of massive part-time employment to avoid Obamacare in smaller businesses, major repercussions with the unemployment rate and the havoc leading economists to predict the law will destroy an already weak economy that has not recovered in over five years of an Obama administration.
Make sense to those who actually think with their heads?
Why has the media promoted this debate within Washington as “partisan bickering?” Isn’t the fact that a vast majority of Americans against the law enough to take a second look?
Now for the real reason the media hates it and Obama won’t budge:
If Obamacare is stopped for one year, it will provide Americans a chance to breathe and reflect on the fragility of the law. Americans can look at the 40-odd votes to kill the law and who exactly voted to keep it. That could mean quite a landslide for the Republicans next November, couldn’t it?
By utilizing the knee-jerk mainstream media to portray the GOP as “mean-spirited” granny haters, those in Washington in favor of fast enactment hold the American people to a standard lower than any Middle Eastern country that Obama negotiates with.
Isn’t it time this country woke up and saw the damage this administration has done and continues to do?
Solyndra, “Fast & Furious,” wiretapping media outlets and individual journalists, the IRS scandal, Benghazi, the Syrian mess, the bad decisions on Libya and the Muslim Brotherhood in Egypt.
Need I continue?
