The General Lee is known as one of the South's greatest vehicles ever produced. Nascar fans, country fans, and any car fan both sides of the Ohio has a great love for that hugger orange General Lee. Starting out in TV shows, movies, and other Hollywood attractions the General Lee is now a name brand icon of comedy, southern dirt style racing, and a tribute to the almighty Dodge Charger.
Around the country but more likely to be found in the Southern states is General Lee memorial jumping ceremonies. At these events, locals build a mock General Lee and jump it in the center of the town, at sporting events, etc. It's great fun and becoming a motorsport tradition to many people.
For many of the great Dukes of Hazzard fans, the General Lee brings back great memories of how light hearted racing used to be.
