The Duggars made a special Valentine’s Day appearance on The Today Show. For once, the Duggars were not announcing a new baby; they were talking about recent events in their lives and promoting the new season of their hit TLC show, 19 Kids and Counting.
Michelle opened up about her recent miscarriage. Jim Bob and Michelle named the baby Jubilee and they believe they will meet her one day in heaven. Michelle said,
“We have 10 girls and 10 boys, just we only have our 9 girls here and 10 boys that are here with us and I think we have a sweet memory of our little Jubilee. For 18-weeks, we enjoyed having her with us and looking forward to her and now we look forward to her in heaven.”
They moved on to talk about the recent scandal involving Amy and the alleged explicit photos involving her and an older man. Jim Bob explained that they received a call from the Discovery Channel informing them the network had received a letter from a woman who claimed to have incriminating photos of Amy and she wanted $10,000 to keep them hidden. The channel called the FBI who put together a sting operation to catch the woman.
Jim Bob claimed the photos were nothing scandalous and they only showed Amy standing next to a family friend. He went on to explain that the woman has mental problems and the family will pray for her and her family.
They also discussed why the kids weren’t with them on this trip to New York. Mom and dad Duggar are spending Valentine’s Day alone and they’re going to have a romantic dinner. Maybe baby #20 will be here sooner than they think!
