The Duchess of Cambridge: her best maternity looks

One of the most highly anticipated births of the 21st century occurred on Monday, July 22, 2013 when His Royal Highness Prince George Alexander Louis of Cambridge was born at St. Mary’s Hospital, Lindo Wing, in London. His mother, the Duchess of Cambridge, formerly Catherine Middleton, has been an international style icon since her engagement to Prince William in 2010. When her pregnancy was announced in December of 2012, her style cues were soon followed by many. Enjoy seeing her best maternity looks in the slideshow attached and tips on how to make them your own!

As is typical for the Duchess of Cambridge, throughout her pregnancy she wore a mix of high and low brands. Lower-priced brands included Topshop, Diane von Furstenberg, and Stuart Weitzman. Higher tier brands were Alexander McQueen, Erdem, Mulberry, as well as both bespoke and customized pieces. It should be noted that the Duchess’s wardrobe throughout her pregnancy was both consistent and fun. Even women who are not pregnant found inspiration in her looks, and could count on her to be feminine and appropriate for whatever event she was attending. Women desire a fashion inspiration that encourages them to try new brands, styles and outfit pairings… but sometimes a fresh take on classic looks is unique in a world of evolving trends.
