The Duchess of Cambridge joined Queen Elizabeth and Prince Philip today to celebrate the 150th anniversary of the London Underground as noted by MyDaily.
Kate looked smart and sophisticated in a unique teal coat design by Malene Birger according to HRHDuchessKate blog. Birger is a Danish designer who was named "Queen of Fashion in Copenhagen" by MTV Europe. The coat she wore featured jet black beading across the circular neckline and down the front. The embellishments really made the design come alive. Special attention was given to the sleeves with the addition of large black buttons.
The Duchess seems to have raised her coat hemlines of late and we could clearly see this done with this design. The higher hemlines look like an intentional move to make Kate appear trimmer during her pregnancy.
The royal chose drop sapphire earrings and predictable black suede clutch and shoes to balance out her look. Her topper was a whimsical beret-style cap with felt and feather detailing.
Kate was presented with a cute 'Baby On Board' button at the event which was the perfect gift for her at this time. The royals met with top transport officials as well as staff and apprentices.
Once again it was another smooth appearance ride for the Duchess of Cambridge. She is fabulously flawless!
