The District Attorneys hold court at the EARL.

First order of business, yes I took the easy way out and used the “court” reference for this article, I had to do it, so sue me. Now let’s put that behind us and get to the music. The music I am referring to is the sweet sounds produced by the Georgia group The District Attorneys. The Atlanta/Athens band has already released two awesome EP’s of tunes, (Orders From… and Waiting On The Calm Down: The Basement Sessions) and are in the process of readying their debut album. Full of psychedelic indie rock with mellow vocals and the right amount of pedal steel twang, tunes such as “California Fire” and "Splitsville" are a treat to your ears and signal your brain to turn it up and listen to more.

This Saturday night you have the chance to partake in their tunes up close and in person as they play at the world famous EARL. Jamming tunes from the previously mentioned EPs as well as from their upcoming album, they put on one hell of a live show. Their sound should fill the intimate EARL bouncing off the walls and rattling your ear holes, which is a good thing.

In addition to the DA’s, the Modern Skirts and Tedo Stone will be on stage jamming their tunes as well. All in all it should be a damn fine night of music at the EARL. Get there early and check out all three bands so you can get in your full daily allowance of tunes as well as support local music. Three Georgia bands and some of the coldest beer around sounds like a good Saturday night to me.
