Morris Plains, New Jersey's mathcore act The Dillinger Escape Plan have been nominated for a Golden God Award. They face some stiff competition in the "Best Live Band" category with Slayer, Motley Crue, Gojira, Lamb Of God and Rob Zombie in the hunt. Other acts nominated for Golden Gods include Carcass (Comeback of the Year), Queens of the Stone Age (Album of the Year) and Deafheaven (Best New Talent). Revolver's Golden Gods Award takes place in Los Angeles's Club Nokia on April 23rd. If you want to attend this powerhouse event, tickets go on sale this Friday. Tickets come in various nifty bundles, including the Golden God VIP package. That expensive bundle includes front row seating in the balcony, merch and access to both the VIP room and red carpet. Guns n Roses, A Day to Remember and New Jersey native Zakk Wylde are scheduled to perform. You can cast your vote for your favorite acts here.

After their upcoming stint at Australia's Soundwave Festival, The Dillinger Escape Plan will be hitting the road on a full blown North American tour with acts like Trash Talk and Tera Melos opening on different legs. Check out all of their upcoming tour dates here. The Dillinger Escape Plan's latest release was last year's One of Us Is the Killer.
