As a business consultant I am often asked " Why are my products not selling"? or "Why is my traffic down on my online product offerings"? This question can occur from listings on eBay and elsewhere. My research often uncovers a simple discovery, the market is saturated with the items that you are selling and the competition is beating the pants off of you.
So the next thing we look at is price. Today online shoppers are savvy shoppers, they know how to comparison shop. They are furious price shoppers and will usually pick the least expensive. I recommend to act like a buyer and shop(search) for what you have. Most time the discovery is that someone else has the same item offered at a cheaper price. So if you cannot beat the competition with price, you will need to out do them with service. If a customer were to ask you "Why should I buy a product from you, all things being equal? Your answer should be ," because no one has what I have to offer and that is "superior customer service and ongoing relationships". The difference is "You".
If you can supply this to all your offerings, you will soon discover your customer loyalty will outpace the price issue. So get out there and back your claims up!
Happy Selling!
