The Denver Passport returns with 2-for-1 specials at 60 local establishments

The Denver Passport, a summer-long program promoting bars and restaurants around Denver, has announced their 2014 line up of participants.

“Last year Denverites received more than 20,000 stamps over the course of the program,” said PJ Hoberman, co-founder of The Passport Program. “People got out, explored new bars and celebrated the season with tasty cocktails and beer.”

The Passport Program was introduced in Denver in June 2013. The idea was simple: a pocket-sized black book full of two-for-one drink specials at more than 50 of the best bars in town. The Passport aims to help people find new, independent, local places to hang out and to provide participating venues with a new base of interested customers.

The program launches Memorial Day weekend and runs through Labor Day. Each Passport is valid for one special at each establishment; upon redemption, bartenders will stamp the Passport to show where guests have enjoyed a beverage.

“In the last year more than 100 new restaurants, bars, breweries, distilleries and wineries have opened in Denver. By mixing well-known drinking establishments with those just opening the doors, the Passport will act as the ultimate where-you-must-drink guide for the summer of 2014,” said Hoberman.

The Denver Passport is available for presale for $10 at starting today. Starting June 1st Passports will be $20 each.

Passports will also be available for purchase at Denver Flea on Memorial Day Weekend. Bring your Passport or purchase one at the Passport booth and you will receive a free beer.

Want to imbibe along the entire Front Range? This year the Passport Program will be expanding to Boulder and Fort Collins. Get your Front Range Passport Pack (all three cities) during presale for $30. After June 1st the pack increases to $40.
