The Death Monologues takes you on a beautiful and groundbreaking journey through one of life’s most taboo topics – Death.

Death doesn’t like to fight, he loves to dance. Tired of getting a bad rap, he’s come to tell his side of the story and set the record straight. He takes you on a ride through five unique characters perspectives, where we hear many sides of the story and learn that Death is not what we think it is. We become privy to Death’s truth, including such secrets as, "There are no good deaths, there are no bad deaths; there is only your death, simple and perfect." In end we learn, despite our best efforts to avoid our mortality, once we embrace it, we are liberated and truly begin to live.

Giselle Suarez was compelled to create this piece after watching her own mother die from a brain tumor. “I spent nine months with her, assisting her on her death journey. This experience changed my life drastically and I became fascinated by the 'miracle' of death. It has become one of my passions to help shift the consciousness of death in our culture. And this is what inspired the creation of THE DEATH MONOLOGUES.”

“So many people struggle with the concept of death in their lives”, says director Cathy Hartenstein. “ We wanted to create a platform where people could look at it in a new light, talk about it, and hopefully experience it in a different way.”

Don’t miss the “The Death Monologues ” – a play guaranteed to change your life….and your death - and leave you smiling.
