The day Whitney Houston sang with Bob Dylan in 1986 (Watch here)

Pop icon Whitney Houston has died at the age of 48

According to Olof, Houston once sang with Bob Dylan for a television special on January 20, 1986.  However, they did not perform from the same location. The occasion was the celebration of the first Martin Luther King, Jr., day.

For the event, some artists, including Bob Dylan, performed from the John F. Kennedy Performing Arts Center Opera House in Washington, D.C., while others sang from New York's Radio City Music Hall. The show ended with a group finale of Stevie Wonder's 1981 tribute to King, "Happy Birthday." Dylan and others sang from D.C., while a large group of background singers, including Houston, simultaneously sang from New York City. You can view the performance in the embedded clip on the left.
