“When the day of Pentecost came, they were all together in one place.”(Acts 2:1)

This weekend marks the day of Pentecost. Pentecost commemorates the coming of the Holy Spirit upon Christ’s followers. Believers in the New Testament of the Holy Bible were given the promise by Jesus that the Holy Spirit would come. The instructions were for them to stay in the city of Jerusalem. They followed and were waiting together in a meeting.

They believed and took obedient action so God’s will was fulfilled. God responds to His children with the outpouring of His Spirit. The manifestation consisted of extraordinary wind, tongues of fire, and the speaking of different languages. The Holy Spirit is still being sent by God all over the earth. People believing in Jesus Christ are still receiving the promised Holy Spirit. It is by faith that one believes Jesus is God’s Son and died for their sins.

Believer, God responds to your obedient faith in action and fills you with the Holy Spirit.
