Tired of always being the good guy? Don't really feel like fetching someone's lost chicken because, for some reason, they just can't go and look for it themselves? Then look no farther. The Darkness II has come to save the day of endless do-gooding bordom of most of the host of traditional RPG's.
The Darkness II, sequel to The Darkness, is being released today, February 7th. In this dark RPG you are Jackie Estacado, main character of the crowd favorite The Darkness. Jackie is the host to the Darkness. And with a name like that you can be sure that there will be no step and fetch it do-gooding quests in your near future.
What you will be able to find is hours and hours of demon based mayhem and destruction. Step one is to kill the lights. And not in your living room - bad for the eyes, you know - but in whatever dark, scary room you happen to be in on screen. Lights hurt the darkness, and since thats you, you don't want to step into the light. Next step is to find new and interesting ways in which to off your enemies. With two terrifying deamon-like appendages that have small faces with sharp teeth, there is room for endless possibilities.
The Darkness II isn't your run of the mill sequel video game either. Instead of being the good guy, hero of many and saviour to all, you play as a character that can be, well, a bit less than wholesome. The Darkness II also deviates from the usual, run of the mill, RPG that is being released of late. Besides the Assassin's Creed series, The Darkness is one of the only modern RPG games not devoted to mindless character creation that has little to no impact on gameplay but brings a solid character with premade features and skills to the table. If you are looking for a series with great gameplay mechanics, solid storyline, and hours of mayhem and destruction then the Darkness II is the game for you.
The Darkness II can be purchased online at gaming portals such as Steam and online stores like Amazon. If your looking for a boxed copy of the game to add to that impressive shelf then the Darkness II can be purchased at local gaming outlets as well as larger chain stores such as Gamestop or Wallmart.
