The highly-anticipated Batman sequel, The Dark Knight Rises has a new trailer out. This film would be the conclusion of the trilogy started by director Christopher Nolan and actor Christian Bale.
The trailer is delivered using a series of voiceovers, while showing Batman, Selina Kyle (Anne Hathaway) aka. Catwoman, Bane (Tom Hardy), a prison breakout, a football stadium exploding, flying vehicles, chanting, and flying debris. It pretty much shows much without revealing much.
Synopsis: Following the death of District Attorney Harvey Dent, Batman assumes responsibility for Dent's crimes in order to protect Dent's reputation and is subsequently hunted by the Gotham City Police Department. Eight years after the events of The Dark Knight, Batman returns to Gotham where he must discover the truth regarding the "enigmatic" Selina Kyle while stopping the villain Bane and his plans to destroy the city.
Filming has been taking place across the world, including locations in India, London, Glasgow, Los Angeles, New York, Newark, and Pittsburgh. IMAX cameras are being utilized for more of the filming to optimize the quality of the picture (but it will not be in 3-D). 40-50 minutes will be shot in IMAX surpassing The Dark Knight's 30 minutes.
Starring Christian Bale, Morgan Freeman, Michael Caine, Gary Oldman, Tom Hardy, Anne Hathaway, Marion Cotillard, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, and directed by Christopher Nolan, The Dark Knight Rises comes to Orange County theaters on July 20th, 2012.
