The Darcys, a band from Toronto best described as unorthodox guitar-rock, is currently embarking on an American tour with Minneapolis being one of their upcoming scheduled stops. On Sunday, February 26th, you can catch The Darcys playing with Bombay Bicycle Club and Lucy Rose at First Avenue in Downtown Minneapolis. Haven’t heard of The Darcys? Their latest album, titled AJA, (which was released on January 24, 2012) is currently available as a free download; get it here on The Darcys official website. Fans can also purchase a limited edition vinyl from the site.
AJA is described on the band’s facebook page as “an interpretation of Steely Dan’s 1977 studio masterpiece, produced, arranged and recorded by the band at home during the summer and fall of 2010. Moody, dense and textured, AJA is an exploration of physical and emotional space and the real and imaginary divisions within it.”
