The danger of underestimating Barack Obama

Saturday, Aug 9, Ross Kaminsky of Somewhat Reasonable wrote that Obama is extraordinarily irresponsible, his Secretary of State John Kerry is feckless, and his foreign policy team utterly incompetent. Kaminsky also sees him as detached from reality because of his lack of handling of the Hamas ceasefire fiascoes. The "distracted" accusation has validation considering Vladimir Putin, Hamas, even the Ebola virus, are seemingly just annoying little distractions as the president is about to head off to another extended vacation.

Friday an opinion letter by John Stevens, Obama is an incompetent leader, was posted on myCentralJersey.com. In it Mr. Stevens states that, "As a proud American, it's a total embarrassment that our president is such an incompetent leader." He feels that Barack Obama should never have been allowed to run, and that the media covered his incompetence. Many share his feelings.

The same day the Wall Street Journal published an article that paints the president as the reluctant leader of the most powerful military in the world. As Islamic extremists took over large portions of the country and threatened the government in Baghdad, the White House held off ordering military strikes in Iraq for nearly two months. This was after U.S. help was requested. He showed himself to be a reluctant warrior when he authorized military strikes in Libya in March 2011 as well.

Other sore spots are his handling of the illegal immigration crisis, Obamacare, Iraq, the economy, jobs, etc. You name it. There isn't any area that he hasn't mishandled. Welfare is out of control, unemployment is still through the roof, our borders are open, terrorist are in our country, and the list goes on.

Over and over you will hear from the average citizen to senators and congressmen/women, about Obama's stupidity and incompetence. However, is incompetence behind this president's miserable leadership of America, or is it something else? Could he actually be accomplishing exactly what he set out to do? It is a very dangerous thing to underestimate someone, especially someone as powerful as the president, and assume they are either stupid or incompetent.

Thomas Sowell, a senior fellow at Stanford University's Hoover Institution, writes, "After Barack Obama was sent back to Hawaii to live with his grandparents at age 10, his grandfather introduced him to a black man named Frank Marshall Davis, who had a long career of anti-American, anti-white propaganda that included a stint as a member of the Communist Party." One of Obama's mentors at Columbia was professor Edward Said, a spokesman for Palestinian terrorists. When Obama decided to go into politics, his campaign began with a fundraiser in the home of Bill Ayers, who had been a domestic terrorist who planted bombs in public places, including the Pentagon.

Barack Obama has for most of his life, been marinated in hatred for the United States, and has a vision of the world in which the white, Western nations have become prosperous by oppressing and exploiting the non-white, non-Western nations. He even referred to himself as “a spy behind enemy lines.” This is a very telling statement.

When the president is telling you, "Let me speak as clearly and as plainly as I can, America is not and never will be at war with Islam" or in an official Ramadan message from the White House, "In the United States, Eid also reminds us of the many achievements and contributions of Muslim Americans to building the very fabric of our nation and strengthening the core of our democracy" it betrays what he truly believes.

When Obama is not worried about who is coming across our borders or bringing a deadly disease here or allowing Sharia Law and jihad training camps it is not because he is stupid or incompetent. He has no reason to fear. He is not only aware of it, he is allowing it. Right now there are over 22 confirmed Jihad terrorist camps in the United States belonging to Jamaat ul-Fuqra, a Pakastan Muslim Brotherhood and Al Qaeda related branch. Is he concerned about the country's safety? No, he just left on vacation. He is following his playbook and he is winning.

We have got to stop thinking he doesn't know what he is doing. He knows exactly what he is doing and we need to start acting accordingly. Just take a look at who he is sending money to, and who he sends weapons to. When he does something like bombing ISIL, it's not because he thinks that's what should be done. He waits as long as he can and does as little as he can. Yes, he funds Israel's Iron Dome. Not because he really wants to but he has to keep up appearances.

The time is rapidly approaching when everything will be in place and Barack Obama will show his hand. At that time you will realize that you are not dealing with stupidity nor incompetency but evil. The "fundamental change" of America is upon us. If we keep underestimating him, it will be completed.

"What many regard as a failure of Obama’s foreign policy, especially in the Middle East, may well be one of his biggest successes. His desire to redistribute wealth domestically is part of a larger ideological vision that includes a redistribution of power internationally." Thomas Sowell
