Well, if you're not a movie studio and don't have the ability to remake 80's movies then do the next best thing and reboot old 80's television series. CBS Studios is developing a reboot of the 80's cult television hit Beauty and the Beast for The CW.
TVLine reports that the new version will modernize the original series and add a so-called procedural twist. Jennifer Levin (Without a Trace) and Sherri Cooper (Brothers & Sisters) will serve as executive producers and also write the script.

The original series aired on CBS from 1987 to 1990 and starred Linda Hamilton as the beauty portion of the title and Ron Perlamn as the mythological Beast.
No word yet on any casting choices or a start date, but it will most likely be hitting the air sometime next year. Fans in the New Orleans area will be able to find it on The CW which is Cox Cable channel 13.
