The CW network has announced the status of some of its television shows and viewers will be excited to see their favorites on the renewal list as well as some new shows to watch. However, there are a few that have been canceled, which could disappoint fans. On Feb. 13, TV Series Finale provided an update on the status of shows that air on the CW.
On Feb. 17, "Star-Crossed" will air its first season with 13 episodes.
There has been a lot of buzz about "The 100" and viewers can watch the first episode on March 19. The first season will have 13 episodes.
Even though "Seed" has already aired its first season in Canada and has been renewed, US viewers will be seeing it for the first time. The series premiere date has not been announced.
"Famous in 12" has no episode count or premiere date yet.
In summer 2014 there will be 10 episodes of "Barber Battle."
"Arrow" has been renewed for a third season and will have 23 episodes.
"Seed" has been renewed in Canada, although it has not debuted in the United States yet. The US premiere date for the show has not yet been announced.
Fans of the Winchester brothers are excited that "Supernatural" has been renewed through season 10. There will be 23 episodes in the upcoming season.
There will be 22 episodes of both "The Originals" and "The Vampire Diaries." The former will enter its second season while "TVD" will be entering its fifth.
"Reign" has also been renewed. The second season will have 22 episodes.
"Breaking Pointe" was canceled during its second season. There were supposed to be 10 episodes, but viewers only saw nine. The last episode aired on Sept. 17.
"Cult" aired 13 episodes and while it had fans, that wasn't enough to save it from being canceled. The finale aired on July 12.
Shows that ended
"90210" ended after five seasons. The last season had 22 episodes and the finale aired on May 13.
Season 4 of "Nikita" only had 6 episodes and ended on Dec. 27.
The CW network has not announced a status update on some shows. Those include "Beauty and the Beast," "Capture" and "The Tomorrow People." Fans of "The Carrie Diaries" will also have to wait to see if there will be another season. "Perfect Score" and "Oh, Sit!" also have no status update yet.
