The CW Network releases fall 2013 premiere date for 'Supernatural'

The CW released its fall premiere dates earlier this week and "Supernatural" fans have a long summer hiatus to endure. The cult hit is scheduled to return on Tuesday, October 15, 2013, for season 9 and after the finale cliffhanger it is clear that the October premiere will be none too soon!

"Supernatural" will also be starting on a new night as the network moved the show back to its original night when it first aired back in September 2005. So, viewers should adjust their TV schedules and remember to tune in on Tuesday nights at 9:00 p.m. (EST). There will be a new show "The Originals" a "Vampire Diaries" spin-off starting as the lead-in for "Supernatural" this fall. Although, time will tell if they are a good match, it's hopeful they will be.

"Supernatural" may be entering into its ninth season, it does look promising that the network may give fans and viewers a season 10. It would be fantastic news to hear and hope springs eternal.

The season 8 finale left a lot up in the air and the cliffhanger left fans wringing their hands, however, the touching brother moment is sure to still be causing a collective squee. I have lost count how many times I have viewed the finale, let alone the final few scenes leading up to the screen credits. Never has there been a more successful or believable brother pairing on TV. There have been some good ones over the years, but Sam and Dean Winchester are the best. The actors who portray the brothers are Jared Padalecki (Sam) and Jensen Ackles (Dean) they are each well deserving of an Emmy for their performances over the seasons and especially for the poignant final moments of the season 8 finale and it is a crime they haven't at least received a nomination over the years.

Well, viewers October may seem very far away, but with filming starting back on July 11, 2013, perhaps spoilers and behind-the-scene photos will start showing up to make the long hiatus less painful. October or Bust!
