The creators of Bastion reveal new game 'Transistor'

Supergiant Games, the developer of hit indie action-shooter-isometric-RPG Bastion, announced their next game, a sci-fi RPG dubbed Transistor.

Best known for its absolutely amazing soundtrack and surprisingly refreshing take on storytelling and isometric action, Bastion has become a household name on the independent gaming scene. From what the trailer shows us, Transistor will follow up on some of the tenants that Bastion set down: namely, isometric combat.

Honestly, though, that could be the biggest similarity: while some studios would be happy to simply create a sequel, Supergiant has created an entirely new world. It's a striking change of pace for the developer, and - let's be honest - it looks absolutely stunning.

Supergiant Games hasn't given an exact release quite yet, stating that Transistor will be released sometime in 2014. On the bright side, anyone attending PAX East this weekend will have access to a playable demo.
