Yesterday, author Alexandra Bracken released the cover for her new book, In the Afterlife, through her Facebook page. In the Afterlife is the third and final book in her NY Times best selling trilogy The Darkest Minds.

In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, Bracken talks about how much she loves the cover stating, “I love it more and more each time I see it.”

And of course, Bracken doesn’t talk about anything detailed in the final book, but she does hint, “The events of Never Fade (the 2nd book) have very much thrown Ruby off kilter, and she’s forced to really confront who she is and what she wants for herself.”

Anyone who has been reading the series know that there was quite the twist at the end of the book and it left fans anxiously awaiting when the third book would come out.

To read the interview in it’s entirety, you can go here.

In the Afterlight is the final book in the series and is set to come out October 28th.
