Tell the Courier-Journal about your garden

Do you have a garden? If yes, do you like to brag about it? Well, the Courier-Journal would like to hear all about it. Go to http://www.courier-journal.com/gardening and fill out the form by June 11.

Whether you have shrubs, water features, flowers, vegetables they want to know. They also want you to write out why you like gardening. Some of the entrants will be featured in the Neighborhood section of the paper.

The following is what I wrote on why I'm drawn to gardening:

My parents got me into gardening and I'm so glad they did. Gardening teaches you responsibility as well as the satisfaction of growing something that can be appreciated or eaten. Even in Kentucky, you can grow almost whatever you like. Gardening has been one of my favorite hobbies for years. From flowers to tomatoes, gardening has taught me a lot about nature. I recommend gardening to anyone and everyone.

Also on the form, you'll be asked what you most like to grow, specifically why do you garden, the worst thing about gardening, and what are your favorite flowers and vegetables to grow.

It is a fun and quick questionnaire for any gardener.  Be proud and let everyone know why you like gardening.

I sent an article regarding my garden. I forgot to mention that I have a lot or perennials and also a daisy that is orange with a black center that has multipled by itself. Everything is doing well.
