The West Texas Running Club hosts the Cotton Patch Runs this Saturday, March 8th at the Texas Boys Ranch. This race includes a 1 mile kids fun run, 4 mile race, 4 mile 2-person relay and 14k race. The kids run will begin at 9am with the remaining races beginning shortly after.
Kids 4-12 are eligible for the 1 mile run, kids 7 and older are eligible for the 4 mile relay, kids 10 and older are eligible for the 4 mile solo race and runners 16 and older are eligible for the 14k. The price for all races is $5 for running club members and kids under 13 and $15 for all others. Online registration expires on Thursday, March 6th at 6pm with no race day registration.
Bib pickup will occur at the race site prior to 8:30am. Because of limited parking, plan on getting to the race early. Bib pickup and the post race medal ceremony will both be held indoors.
The 1 mile and 4 mile runs are both mostly flat out and back courses. The 14k is a mostly flat loop course with part of the course on a dirt road.
This is a great event that benefits the Texas Boys Ranch scholarship. If you can’t run it, volunteers are always needed.
