One of the hippest resorts on the Las Vegas Strip, The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas has announced the addition of an even hipper event venue called The Chelsea. The announcement of the new 40,000 square-foot event space on Dec. 9 comes just in time for a New Year's Eve performance by Grammy Award winner Bruno Mars.

“The Chelsea will undoubtedly surprise our guests – the venue is the perfect combination of industrial grit and artistic glamour. The setting is intimate, warm and memorable. From the Maya Hayuk commissioned art pieces to the iconic Soho inspired stairwell – The Chelsea is unlike any venue that exists today and Cosmopolitan in every detail,” said Lisa Marchese, CMO of The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas.

The Chelsea is as beautiful as it is functional, incorporating glass and brick tiles for a very vintage look. It was designed by the internationally acclaimed firm AvroKO, designers of PUBLIC and Beauty & Essex in New York City and Carnevino in Hong Kong. The Chelsea also features private opera boxes, a glass elevator and a grand staircase. The new versatile space will also be used for meetings, events and sporting events.

The grand opening of The Chelsea is scheduled for New Year's Eve, with Bruno Mars performing on Dec. 29 and 31. Tickets are available now at or Ticketmaster, starting at $150.
