The first Concert with Conversation event for 2014, held at the Community Music Center (CMC), will take place at the end of this month. The “performing and conversing” artist will be soprano Jessica Rivera. Rivera is a former Artist-in-Residence for San Francisco Performances (SFP); and she made her SFP debut in the Young Masters Series in April of 2012. She also gave the final event of last season’s Salon series at the Rex Hotel this past May. In addition to her SFP commitments, she alternated with Dawn Upshaw in singing the soprano part in John Adams’ Nativity oratorio El Niño with the San Francisco Symphony in December of 2010.

This Concert with Conversation will take place on Friday, January 31, beginning at 6 p.m. It will be held in the CMC Capp Street Concert Hall at 544 Capp Street in the Mission. The CMC Web site has an event page that provides additional background information.
