The world’s marketplace for visual content, Visual.ly, and infographics made known the next shift in visual content creation. On Tuesday the site for visual graphics announced on its blog it had finalized the Series A financing and begin to facilitate how global creatives connect with ease with their targeted customers.

The agency went on to assert that it had a 10-fold growth since the launch of the project center in 2013 and looking to achieve the same feat in 2014. This round of financing was led by Crosslink Ventures along with contributions from Correlation Ventures, SoftTechVC and others.

“The traditional agency model of content creation was conceived in a time before the internet provided the connection and communication possibilities that make a marketplace model a reality. Visually is rethinking that model and developing a marketplace for custom visual content produced by some of the best designers around the world,” according to Visual.ly.

Visual.ly is a handy resource that offers a complete guide of comprehensive information in visual form. If you are looking for a particular topic the website has contributors from around the globe with a total of 27 topics to choose from with hundreds of graphics to browse through.

For example, if you are looking for the most current data on social media stats, metrics, traffic, engagement or trends there is plenty of options to find. Whether you cite, quote or create visual content you must have the right infographic to go with your story.

Elsewhere Techcrunch and Mashable reported the company news and its shift to attract clients to expand in a slightly different direction.

Daily the website has plenty of new content that can be used for many different research projects. In addition, looking at successful infographics is an excellent reference when trying to generate your own. This year there is bound to be plenty of more data, cool visual content and innovation for Visual.ly.
