The commitment to bonding is not about being perfect

Staying stuck in your narrow thinking resists change. To expand your heart without limit is the beginning of awakening. Deep in your heart are the seeds for compassion, empathy and seeing human beings in the light of “sameness” and caring in a way that connects. This is the start of a change in your consciousness.

The vow to never harden our heart

It’s a commitment that can be tough to keep. You stumble, you criticize yourself, but with confidence you know you have it in you. Now guilt gets in the way. Standing on the wings you realize everyone has this same affliction, confusion sets it. You run for safety.

The worst part of breaking the commitment to bond

Giving up altogether, not caring if you are harming others or knowing you are hurting yourself, and closing down. Doubt takes over, too cynical to care, you fear ‘living on the edge.’ You pull up your sheets over your head, shunning fear, running from vulnerability, you’ve learned to relax in that heart-closed feeling. This isn’t OK.

No control, all systems go

The idea of a time of “aloneness” is the time is given to you for working on yourself so you aren’t triggered anymore by the fear of pain and cruelty. To get your own life together so that you are of benefit to others, and you are able to stay in the moment, mind and heart. Relationships also teach losing your temper, being irritable, yelling, being unreasonable and immature is repressing, it separates us, the very thing you don’t really want in the first place. So you practice and train, working with your mind and soul to “enter like a butterfly” for anyone unthinkingly can sting like a bee.

The new way to approach the commitment of bonding

Instead of becoming self-absorbed in your own suffering, ‘open’ to the suffering of others. It’s a great way to open creatively, connecting you through their suffering, appreciating what they have gone through.

Not being open and being self-absorbed, matters can only get worse, because the very thing you fear isolation now becomes your truth. When this happens you find yourself reciting the same old patterns of thinking, “When will I be loved, when will I make some new friends.” Not pretty.

We’re all in this together

They are going through the same things. Just put that cup down and get over there and introduce yourself. Your pain is not that important. Ad nauseam. “People get what they don’t want and can’t hold on to what they do want.” Why are you making such a big deal about yourself? Cut the strings to your balloons and set yourself free. Stand up, dust yourself off and renew your vow to the commitment to bond with others. Your path to success, letting those around you shine.
