The 3M people are always pushing the envelope to stay viable in today’s hectic world and we think they are doing a good job of it. During the holidays we all like to hang things: wreathes, Christmas stockings, lights, cards and more. Well, now there are Command brand hooks for all of these projects.
Why is this important? No nails, no holes, no hassle. The objects will go up cleanly and come down cleanly.
Now they also have outdoor products such as holder clips for decorative lights. These individual clips allow you to string a series of lights into almost any configuration. (See the slideshow for a terrific design set against some garage doors!). In other words, you’re not confined to just following the outline of a door, but think creatively and make a star, a snowman or more.
We’ve included some of their links so you can look at projects for yourself. By the way, there are also larger hooks that will save you from putting a hole in your front door to hang a wreath. There are terrace hooks, window hooks (great for hummingbird feeders) and they are clear, brushed metal and or dark plastic.
While you’re in the crafting mood, think about using the Scotch® Expressions tape on packages and to create your own cards. They come in bright colors and there is even a tape that looks very tribal. The features associated with these tapes are:
• Initially re-positionable on most surfaces
• Tears cleanly
• Write on it with pen, pencil or marker
• Great for decorating, paper crafts and adding a creative accent to almost anything
The holidays wouldn't be nearly as fun without the gift giving! Often, it's just as important to wrap the perfect gift as it is picking it. While holiday wrapping can get expensive, there are a number of ways to wrap great gifts without costing an arm and leg. Here are three projects using unconventional items for wrapping that will score you extra gift-giving points!
• Re-purpose an old subway map to create a one-of-a-kind wrap for a fellow friend and travel lover
• Go above and beyond with gift wrap and use feathers embellished with Scotch Expressions Tape for extra glitz and glam
• Ditch the plain ol’ gift wrap and use different magazine cut outs to fit any and every personality
