The coffee and airfare specials are on Turkish Airlines

Turkish Airlines is spreading a little extra Valentine’s Day love to residents of the Washington, D.C. area this year.

Beginning today and continuing through Feb. 17, you can indulge in rich Turkish coffee, courtesy of the airline that has joined the food truck frenzy. As part of a special campaign, a coffee truck piloted by uniformed Turkish Airlines stewardesses will tour the nation’s capital for two weeks – visiting some of the city’s most popular high-traffic areas.

Turkish Airlines Coffee Truck Schedule:

  • 2/9 - 3285 M Street NW from 10 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
  • 2/10 - Chinese New Year Parade in Chinatown from 1 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.
  • 2/12 - 908 17th Street NW from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
  • 2/14 - 707 7th Street NW from 11 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
  • 2/16 - 507 8th Street SE from 11 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
  • 2/17 - 3285 M Street NW from 10 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

In addition to the free brew, Airlines is also offering several promotional fares from Dulles International Airport to Istanbul and other areas including Venice, Prague, Budapest, Athens, and Maldives. The discounted fare starts from just $500 per person for travel through Feb. 28.

General Manager, Handan Corekci. “This year, we’re showing locals just how simple and affordable it is with our current promotions and at the same time, bringing a little bit of romance to the city.”

Established in 1933 with a fleet of only five airplanes, Star Alliance member, Turkish Airlines today is a four star airline with a fleet of 207 aircraft (passenger and cargo) flying to 219 cities around the world, comprised of 36 domestic and 183 international destinations.
