Coke has introduced to the market a 1.25 liter skinny bottled package in an effort to increase price for less volume in the supermarket segment. As consumers we are so used to paying ninety nine cents for a 2 liter bottle that is on sale. However, at a convenience mart, we are more than ready to pay upwards of $1.50 for a cold, 20 fluid ounce bottle, especially if we are in a hurry.
The 1.25 liter package is clearly trying to bridge the price gap between the 20 ounce money maker and the 2 liter lost advertising leader. Even though the packing has been around for a while now expect the 2 liter to be pushed above the standard dollar mark as consumers begin to pay more for your beverages.
