The city of Elgin, Illinois Hemmen’s Cultural Center presents Shawn Klush, the closest thing to the King, a Tribute to Elvis Presley January 4, 2013, 8pm. Tickets on sale $49.50 to $29.50. Shawn Klush is noted at the 1st person to be dubbed the Ultimate Elvis Tribute Artist. The tribute also includes performances by original members of Elvis’s band and friends who performed with Elvis.
Cody Ray Slaughter, 2011 Ultimate Elvis Tribute Artist will be performing along with Donny Edwards. D.J. Fontana, Sweet Impressions and the Blackwood Quartet are special guests contributing to the tribute to their friend and fellow musician Elvis.
Elvis actual birthday is January 8th. Thousands of people make the pilgrimage to Graceland yearly to tour Elvis’s mansion celebrating his birthday and the music of King of Rock N’ Roll.
